July 31 – Thursday

It started out great on the 1/3 NL table. Two hands into it, I got AA under the gun and I made it $15 to go and got 4 callers. The flop came out AJ9; I made it $25 and got one caller. The turn was another A! QUAD! My first QUAD in about 8 months or so. I checked and the guy check and I bet on the river and he folded. So, I won $147 on high hand! I'm loving the high hand on the 1/3!

Then my dad got worst really quick! I had a chance to make $500 bucks. To make it short, I was going to call $30 raise with my open-ended straight draw but this call called but then went all in cause it. The dealer said he didn't release his hand off the chips, look like he did to me. So, the two guys got all there money in and the turn was a J to hit my straight and I would have won 5 large ones right there cause the other two just had top pair. SICK! Then I played in the bounty tournament, easy out.

After the tournament I went back to 1/3 to see if I can win some more money. I flop trips and this Chuck Liddell want a be bitch called me down with 84s and hit his flush on the river. Then, I lost too the drunk bastard when I went all in with JJ and he called me with 78, the flop a 7 and river a 7. There's two hundy gone! I wanted to whip his ass to the pearly white lights.

I have $35 left so I went all in with my AK and I hit a flush on the river against two players. The next hand I pick up KK and I bet $15, of course I got 7 callers. The flop was J high and I shove for $65 and got 3 callers! I knew my ass was done. Everybody check through the river and my KK held up. I got all my money back plus $200. I love this game but can't handle the fucking stress. Ha ha ha ha I played really well with patience and I didn't let the two jackasses get to me! With a little more patience I can finally have a break through year.

Lost $400 – Don't really need to talk about it. I just played fucking horrible. I shouldn't have played since I was mad. Never, ever play when you are full of bad emotions. DAMN

It feel good to play again

The weekend of July 5th and 6th.

I went over to the 'Shoe and played a little 1/3 NL. I was shaking so bad since I haven't played in a month or two. I just played tight and walked away with some dough. One hand against the most dislike poker player in Omaha, Lori. I had 34 in an 8-player pot and I was last to act. The flop came out 44J, I check and some bet $35 and Lori reraised it to $70. I waited forever to reraise cause I wanted to try and get some more money out of Lori. In the end she folded and show AJ, dang. I wish I could have smooth call and then pop her on the turn. I was rusty so that didn't work. I left with $250, A+!

Then on Sunday the 6th, I played with my neighbors and some boys in .25/.50 game. I walked away with $78 so that was good. I just need to find my groove and start whipping ass again.

Saturday May 31,
My boy Nick B had a little $20 tournament with rebuys going for his buddy bachelor party. A horrible game! I had KQ and flop 10QJ and I was looking good. I bet 2k to see if he will reraise me so I can shove. He called and turn nothing so I be 8K, he called again. The river 10, I knew he had a 10 but wishing he had that Jx so I lead out again with 8K and he called. He flips up 105os, HA HA HA HA HA HA HA! Funny stuff! I was mad for about a minute and just laugh it off. So, I was down to 1k when I went on a run. I was chip leader at the final table. I took out everybody there beside the last two players. HA I chase all my flushes and straight and missed on all of them. So, I made $60 bucks but I should have won $175 or something like that. F- I gave myself an F for not closing the did. You know ABC!

Saturday May 10 –

200 buy in - 1,3 NL

Started off playing super tight and got paid off on AJ and turn trips J, made about $80 on that hand. I also hit a flush on the river and made about $65 on that. He flop trip 9s and tried to get some money out of me but he was unlucky. LOL… Then the best hand…. we had a 5 way of $15 bucks preflop. Then 3 callers called $20 after the flop and everybody check the turn. They even check the river and I lead out $75 on the river and both guy folded and I show them my K10 busted straight. LOL… I won about $125 on that little bluff. I left with $200 or so. (A+)

Over the next few weeks, I will still be playing and getting ready for something big. I'm going back to the lab and polish my game for after the wedding cause I have only one goal next year. Make the WSOP 2010! That's all. WSOP or Die Trying!

Thursday May 6, 08 –

I'm think it's over for the dream and me. I have no discipline to play it seems. I tell myself to play smart and to focus but I did the opposite tonight. I was calling with everything, chasing shit and just playing bad. Plus, I hate feeling the way when I lose money on shit. It make a brother want to hell or whup someone ass. Most of the boys were there to see me play and I just tired to showoff and it only hurt my play. I have another journal and it just sad to right in after days like this. This will be the next to last one before I quit for a while. I need all my money to pay towards the wedding and honeymoon. I can't be wasting it on 58os or J3c. I would like to play this weekend, one more time so I can leave on a good note. We will see about that. Later

Wednesday April 30 – End of the Month

Hooray! I finally ended the month off on a good note. After pissing away over half my bankroll in March and the being on April. KK vs AQ for $150 – KK vs 66 and after the flop KJ6. I hit the top set and the guy hit his bottom set. That was about $300 extra for daddy! Then until the bad hand that I played. I had A10 on the bb and the guy utg raise to $18. Of course, there were 5 callers so I called. The flop came out 1088 so he bet and another guy called, I reraise to $60 and he waited for a long time and then shoved. I waited also for a long time and I called the $175 that he had left. He flips over KK and I had outs but nothing came so I left will $400 up. Still piss the fuck off cause I left money on the table! FUCK but a still positive last two days of playing. Plus, I was talking with a online player who is a stud when it comes to poker. He was giving me some pointers and I think I was trying to play pretty or show off. Ended on a good note!( A – 400 )

The very first hand I looked down at AK and I raise to $15. Flop two pair and won about $45! The next hand, looked down at J8, flop 7910 rainbow. YEAH! I got about $30 off on one guy. I'm glad that I won but I wanted more dough. Anyways, I played very constant beside a $200 bluff that went bad. I tried to represent the flush but it didn't work. Oh well, I'm left will $400! B+

Saturday April 12 –

I have been on a shitty run as of late. I'm just getting out flop, turn and river. My AA getting crack by 54 for $200 pots. My trips are getting crush by 102c for a river flush. The month of March wasn't kind to me at all. April is starting of again like March ended.

I thought Saturday, trying to get back on track. I sat there playing solid cards until it happen again. I had K10d on the big blind. My boy, Walker raises it up for utg to $15. I was going to fold and chill out. I saw 7 players called that $15 so I said the hell with it. The flop came out Jd9d3d. Damn! I flop the second nuts and hoping someone didn't have Ad out there. Well, there was $120 in the pot so it check around. The turn was a club or a spade. Then I said fuck it; I'm all in for about $240 or so. Then the small blind waited and waited and he said, you know I have the Ace right? I said I have the K! He said know what, you have to gamble sometime, CALLED! He flip over Ad7s. What???????? Of my fucking course the 4d came on the river and made me pissed. I just can't win! Oh well, nothing I do about it!

I had been trying to play online also. That's gay! I seen some horrible beats there. I like this guy flopping a full house and this guy turn a 9 and river a 9 for quads. Cmon now! I do like to multi tab, though, the casino get boring really quick. Anyways, I'll be back at it soon.

Buy in: 200 1-3NL

First hand, I raise $18 with AdJd and got 4 callers. The flop came out As3s9s and every check the flop beside my dumb ass. I bet $25 and the villain reraise me another $25 so I said the hell with it, I'm all in. He called super quick and flip over AhKs. DAMN! I should have called the raise and not shoved on that one since I didn't have a spade.

I few hands later, I look down at AK and I raise to $20 and got one caller. The flop came out A 10 2 so he check and I bet $25 and he went all in. WHAT? I said the hell with it again, I called. He flip over 10 2 for two pairs and I didn't improve. A $20 raise and he called with 10 2, sick. SICKO! I'm now down to $30 bucks and I'm going crazy so I took a break.
Okay, back from the 10-minute break. It turned out a lot better this time. I won raise against 1010, JJ, AK QQ (when I river trip 9s). I had a guy who normally plays 2-5NL, he was looser than a Vegas hoe. I had QQ back to back against him and made about $300 off of him. Things went a lot better and I walk out $400. (B+ $400)

Sunday March 9

Once again my play is off really bad. I don't know if I'm trying to get lucky or think I have table respect. I shouldn't have played anyways cause I just got back from the Great Wolfe Lodge in K.C. A great place to go! Anyway I look at it, I have to fix it so I don't go broke at the table. I started out playing good when my AA trip on the flop. I got about $55 out of that one. Then, my dumb ass chases a straight down for $140 post-flop. DUH! Of course it didn't come but if someone does it against me. It would have come! I can't think like that or I'll lose my entire roll. Anyways, after that hand I took a break and chill for a second or two. Grade (F - $140)

All right, I ready to play some fucking cards. I brought back in for $200 and sat at the same table. I had 66 with at $15 raise with 4 callers. The flop Kd2d2c and everybody check around so the turn 6h. YESSSSSSSSS! The fucking bus is full! He bet $35 on it so I just called. River was a 9d for the flush. I didn't know what he had but he bet another $35. I looked at him and said "I think I got you now." He grin and said you better make sure that you do." So, I reraised him $75 total to play and he yelled out ALL IN. I called and he flips over Ad8d for the nut flush. I said, " I knew I got you on the river cause my bus is full". He threw his cards down and walked about pissed. I won about $170 off of that hand and now I got my money back from earlier.

A few had later with a $13 raise with 4 callers again. I had 6s5s. The flop came out Ks7s9s. I flop a low ass flush with the gut shot straight flush draw. The odds of hit the 8s is like 990 or more to 1. Anyways, this old fart called and raise on every hand so he raise to $25, I called and another player called. Turn 10s and I was like damn! Old fart check so I check and the last player check. The river was Q and the old fart bet $35 so I reraised him to $70 and the last player folded. He old turd reraise me another $35 and I waited for like 5 minutes before I called. I know he been playing shit cards all day long, shit cards. I was thinking I know I have him beat. He probably is sitting on 2s or some gay shit like that. I said you been playing like shit so I called and so me the 2s for your flush. He flips over Kh and 2s!!!!!!!!!!!!! HA HA HA I did a Kenny Tran on him and my 6 high flush won a $200 pot. Lol Good stuff! I should have left with more but I donk off about $70. Grade (A-, got my money back +143)

I sat down with $140. Started out playing poorly again on my birthday week, then it turned around!!!! I was down to $40 and won a few big pots. I flop trips 6 and trips A for two huge pots. I finally chase down the nut flush and caught it on the river and got played off on that. I didn't even feel bad about it cause everybody chase shit on me. I played about 2:30 in the morning and had to stop cause work starts at 7. B- (my money back + 340)

Okay, my birthday week as official started. Of course have to kick it off with some poker. When back to the Casino from the horrible Friday night, IT crap happens.
Started with $140 so played pretty tight and won small pots. This guy came to my table looked like Toto with blonde highlights in his hair. LOL He was all in every hand and just played to gamble. I taken all my winnings off of him, I would have took more but 2am is late since I have to work at 7am. One hand that I had was A8, Toto raise it to $30 so I went all in for about $280 or so. He called with AQ! DAMN! He has been playing like shit and now he get AQ utg. Anyways, the flop came 823. I hit my motherf***ing 8 and he was pissed. I would have been pissed too but it happens to the best of us. I played a couple of more hands and pissed away $200 and finally left. I played horrible cause I was up and down, up and down too many times. C- (won $220). At least I got my money back from Friday

I another one that I don't want to write…

I was up to $479 in about 3 hours. I had AA two out of three hands and got played off both times. I hit a Queen high flush again 9 high and J high flushes. I was on a freakin tear until IT happens. I don't know what IT was or is or a name for IT but IT killed me. I flop two pair K8, flop KQ8. I bet $15 and he re-raises me to $60 and until IT made me shove all in. I never shove all in on two pair in a unraise pot. That's right, unraise. I put him on Q8 at best. If he had KQ, he would have raise, right???? He didn't and he rolled over KQ for the top two pair. Anyways, I lost $300 on that pot but I'm still up.Then, I get QQ so I raise it to $20 and got two callers. The flop J72, no harm for me on that. I bet $40 and the villain goes all in for another $150ish. So, I called and he flips over AJ and another J on the river for trips. Okay, now I'm even, I think I'm up $25 bucks. Two hands later, I flop a straight and this chick goes all in. The flop was Q109 and I had J8. She flips over K10 for middle par and gut shout. Of fuckin course the J comes on the river to give her a higher straight. I'm got up so fast and walk out of the casino pissed as hell. Just thinking on the 20 minutes drive home what was IT? I still don't have a name but IT is SHIT. B- (lost $200)

I trying today to when some cash so I can play in the mega-satellite to qualify for the $5K Main Event.

So, I started with $200 and I played so bad that I pissed that away in about 30 minutes. This guy raise to $15 so I called with Qs9s and it came out 10 9 8. He shoveled all in about $110 so I called. WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He flipped over pocket JJs but I still have outs, a few. So, it didn't come and I'm out. I was just pissed off for about 45 minutes.

I thought about it and calm down and brought in for $180 now. I was calmer and more focus playing this time. I had AA and I smooth called the $3 bucks and the flop came K 2 8 and I check. The villain bet $25 so I called and the turn brought 4h. I check once again and he bet $50 this time and I reraise him and he called with KJ and paid me off. After that, I just won a lot of small pots. I won back the $200 bucks that I lost earlier, plus $180. Hell, if I didn't pissed that $200 away, I could have got my seat in the Mega. I'm pissed off and probably won't play until after the Main Event is over. That sucks I didn't make it this year but I will try for the Main Event starting next month. B- won $180 plus my $200 back that I pissed away.

After the exciting day that I had on Monday so I decided to make it back over. The WSOP Circuit is in town and I might play in the $550 satellite but while I was waiting, I got down on some 1-3. I started with $200 this time and it was the ugliest playing table in a long time. I had AQ and I made it $20 to go so one villain called me and the flop A 2 3. He lead out first with $15, so I bump it to $60. He called! The Turn 4, He check and he said I know what you have and you got me dominated. I said dude, first I don't care what you think. Anyways, I check right behind him. He lead out with $40 on the river. I then said, you have me dominated and your A4 is good, if you have A5 you would have be the turn to suck more money out. Me playing like Daniel Negreanu and had to pay him off. Help he flips over A4! I knew it!

So after about 1 hour of playing, I was down to $10. I'm on tilt, I'm pissed and I'm hungry! I looked down and pocket JJs, I went all in and got 9 callers. Anyways, I hit trip Js on the river to win that pot. Then I pick of A8 off suite raise it to $15 and got a caller. The flop was 10c 3h 8c and the villain bet $30 so I went all in. He called and showed 7c, 4c. The Turn was 9d so he had an open ended straight and a flush draw. The River 4d and I went that pot. That pot was about $230 bucks. After that, I won a little of small pots and left. I played okay but not great. B+ ( won $100 )

Well, I had little time to play this past weekend. My little one was sick all weekend long but I did played in a $10 game on Poker Academy. I took that down from $40 bucks. It was just good that I beat my poker teacher, Nick B. LOL

I really have nothing to talk about for Sunday. I didn't do much besides play bad cards. I started with $140 at the 1-3 table and I couldn't see any cards. If I raise, I didn't follow it up with a c-bet and just let my opponent catch up. However I still walked away with $40 ahead. I don't know how but I did. I guess my opponents were horrible like me and we couldn't take each other money. F – won $40

Monday Feb. 18, 08,

I went back to the Casino around 9am and see if I can do better. Once again I sat down with only $140. I started out kind of slow and just playing from position. I finally pick up KK in the cutoff and raise $18 and got 2 callers. The flop was low cards and I took the pot down.

Enough of the bull, I'm getting right to the point cause I'm excited to write it. I looked down at 99's and first to act. I just called the $3 bucks. The villain next to me made it $30 and 2 other callers in front of me. I said there's a lot of dough out there and maybe if I flop a 9 this could get ugly. I had about $450 or so in front of me. It was hard for me to call but I did. Now, the Flop came out J 9 9. Do I see 99 on the flop? Are my eyes playing tricks on me? Did I died and went to heaven? I'm first to act, of course I check and the villain1 beside me bet $80 and we got another villain2 calls. I was thinking this couldn't be real. They are betting in me and this just can't be real. So, I smooth call the $80 and that was it. The Turn A, so I check it again and the villain1 goes all in for about $380 or so. Then villain2 calls the all in for about $315 and I called so fast I thought I pull a muscle in my arm. Villain1 flips over JJs and Villain2 throw down pocket rockets AA! One flop the boat and the other turn the boat! LOL I never saw this in live game but plenty of times online. So, after the smoke cleared the pot was about $1355.I played pretty good most of the day. A ( won $1215 )

Well, since I have that nasty taste from the night before, I had to play again. I just moved until my new house so I had to break it in with some poker. We had about 7 guys over there and all are solid players. We had CJ, Teal, Jay M, Bob M, Mike W and Walker. Most of everyone started with $60 with .25/.50 blinds.

To make it quick cause I'm tired of writing. I raise it to $15 and Walker called. The flop was 2,7,4 and I lead out with $20 and Walker went all in for about $60 and I waited for 10 minutes and I called. I flip over pocket 55s and he had KJ and the 55s held out. Maybe a loose called but he straddle that hand and I knew he didn't wake up with nothing strong. I'm glad that I won that race. Anyways, I just played some decent poker and Joe and me left with it all. Grade A+ Won $ 215

I need a day like that after Saturday bullshit! Still f*** LB!

Sat. Feb. 9, 08 –

I'm so sick to my stomach………….I had a decent day of playing until L.B. showed up. LB is one of the worst player I ever, ever seen. She always have a lot of chips at the Casino and she always doing good in these tournament. About 2 years ago when I won my seat to the WSOP, she was there. We were going to the final table and she came over and said, let's play team cause she really need the money. I was chip leader and I said hell no cause I need the money. Anyways, after that she had been shitty to your boy ever since then.

She raise pre-flop to $15 and I was looking down on AdJd. I called and another guy called. The flop Kd 2d 7d. I just flop the nuts! I checked the flop, she bet $30. I went to $100 even. She waited and called. Turn 6c, she proceeded to say that she got lucky and shoved all in. I said not lucky enough cause I flop the nuts. She flip over pocket 66s for trip. River and *&$@%*@ 2c to pair the board! I said WOW! I got up and left until I hear, I knew I was going to win. I turned around so fast and storm to her and said a lot of unpleasant things. I understand that you hit runners to win but don't say I knew it. Win like you won before. Grade A-

The Drive is something that separate a human being. Like John Elway last minute drive against Cleveland. The Ali drive to be the best boxer in the world. The Tom Brady drive to work hard to receive great success. The Bill Belichick drive that focus on the now and not in the past or future.

Hell, I didn't even play poker this week. I was moving into my very first house. I'm pump up! The thing that I was super sick and I couldn't even lift a box. My bro came up from Kansas to help me out and a friend of mine, Andrew help also. I was so driven that my brother came up to help, Andrew help and plus moving to the house. I was carrying my washer and dryer, feeling so weak but I had too. I was driven!

Just like poker, what drives us? Is it to be the best? Make a lot of money? Living the high stakes life? Maybe all the above? I just know that the best players are driven by something. After this week, I'm totally driven to play the best every time I sit.

I bought in for $140 so it's time to play…….

The cards were few and small for the most of the day. I had KK utg and I raise to $15 and have 3 caller. The flop came 3 7 K. BINGO! I check and the villain with the big stacks said, "ALL IN". I almost broke my arm getting my chips in the middle. He flip over QQ, I love it when someone missed a read.

Hand 2 was I had Q9 and the same guy raise to $12 so I called and the flop 3 Q 9. I lead out with $15 and he said again, " ALL IN". I waited this time to think for a quick second and it was quick and I called. He flips over AQ so I held up to win this one too. I'm 2 and the villain 0.

Round 3 – ding, ding! The same villain is just eyeing me and wanting to push me around. I looked down and saw KK again. " How about dem COWBOYS"! I made it $20 to go know, it came around to the same guy and he quickly called. Flop 8 9 8. I bet $25 and the villain reraise me to $75 and push all in, he called and flip over 109. K turn and River 4. I boated up and was much happy.

I did donkey off a few more chips but I decided to get up and walk away. I learn that lesson last year, the hard way. Grade B-; $400

Intro

Well, I have been playing poker for about 3 or 4 years now. I even won a seat to the WSOP 06 but I took the money and ran. I haven't really taken it seriously until last year, when I tried to play part-time. It started off really good but I ended up really bad. I played some bad hands instead of patiently playing and took some BAD beats. I tried to make some moves when I should have just folded and made horrible bluff. I also didn't leave when the flow was good and pissed a lot of my winnings away. I hope this year, that I learned from my mistakes and go forward with a winning year. I won a lot last year but I could have won more. I'm coming back after about 6 or 7 months off and start trying to live at the casino. I really not a player to play online but I will give that a shot too. I hope that this adventure will be fun and exciting one.
